Custom Fit
Some seat covers are referred to as custom fit covers. This is because these covers are manufactured using the exact year, make and model measurements of the automobile and as a result of this, these covers offer a perfect fit. Plus, they also allow the user to use all the features and the functionalities of the automobile’s seat.

Friction
The constant contact of two or more objects is called friction. This is caused when either one or both the objects move against one another. This contact releases energy in the form of heat which eventually results in deterioration of the surface material. In automobiles, friction is caused when you entry or get out of the seat.

Neoprene
Originally this material was used as an alternative to natural rubber mainly for its oil-resistant qualities. But researchers soon found out that it can be used in several other applications as well and thus, Neoprene has become very popular now. Neoprene is nowadays used in wet suits, fan belts, noise insulation pads, gaskets, and electrical insulation and also seat covers.

Pelts
Animal skin that still has the fur, hair or wool still attached to it is called Pelts. The advantage of using pelts for seat covers is that they do not shed, like other lesser fur seat covers.

Pink Slip
The title of a vehicle is called pink slip which is an American Slang. Most DMVs advice you  not to drive with your pink slip in the glove box, just in case your vehicle is ever gets stolen.

Polyester
Polyester is synthetic fiber. This fiber is water resistant, lightweight and strong and so it has long been used for various applications.

Semi-Custom Fit
Semi Custom fit covers are not tailored with precise measurements and this means that such seat covers will fit about 80% when compared to one that has been fully customized. Semi-custom seat covers should not be used in vehicles that have side impact airbags as a semi custom fit does not have cut outs to access these vital safety systems.

Universal Fit
A Universal seat cover will fit any bucket seat. It rarely fits a vehicle because they are not made with the exact measurements.

UV / Ultra Violet
Ultra Violet or UV ray is an electromagnetic wave of light which cannot be detected by human eye, though it is visible to many snakes, birds and insects. These rays are emitted by the sun. Though most of the UV rays are absorbed by the atmosphere, but some of it gets through and this ends up damaging our skin, and even the automobile upholstery. It takes out the natural oils in leather causing leather to crack, and it bleaches color out of vinyl and cloth upholstery.
